Antenatal workshop 3:
Ready for Labour
Practical Tools, Positions & Planning
Sat 16th of August 10am-12pm
A calming, confidence-building 2-hour workshop
Join as a one-off or as part of the full 5-session antenatal course
This is the session where we roll up our sleeves and explore the real-life tools that can help you stay grounded, comfortable, and supported during labour — whatever shape your birth takes.
This workshop is all about the practical side of birth: how to move, breathe, and use your environment and support team to your advantage. Whether you're planning an unmedicated birth or want to feel more in control before an epidural, these simple techniques will help you feel less overwhelmed and more capable.
You’ll learn:
Upright and active labour positions that support progress and comfort
Breathing techniques to stay centred and reduce fear or tension
Ways your birth partner can offer physical and emotional support
Comfort measures like massage, pressure points, and aromatherapy
This session also includes guided time to start (or refine) your personalised birth preferences - a plan that reflects what matters most to you. You’ll leave with:
A birth preferences worksheet to take home
A clear guide to positions for labour and birth
Confidence in your ability to use your body and voice during birth
If you're drawn to mind-body practices, this session also offers the perfect moment to explore further. We’ll gently point those interested toward our online hypnobirthing course, which deepens the relaxation, mindset, and confidence tools we touch on here.
💫 And if you're attending this session as a drop-in, we warmly encourage you to continue building your movement toolkit through our Birth Prep Yoga classes at Nest — a beautiful, ongoing way to stay connected to your body, your baby, and your breath.
This session is both grounding and energising , a chance to feel your own strength, build trust in your body, and walk away knowing that you and your partner are your most powerful tools in birth.
